因為成功研發出這部咖啡烘焙機，林茂成也加入古坑華山咖啡休閒產業的經營行列中，賣的是現場烘焙的現煮咖啡，沒有精緻的裝潢與擺飾，生意卻好的不得了，單是現場烘焙的咖啡豆銷售，就讓夫妻倆忙得不可開交。
林茂成指出，瓦斯是現行眾多咖啡烘焙機的能源，無論是瓦斯直接加熱的水煮式，或者是燃燒瓦斯產生熱風烘焙的半水煮式，均是高溫烘焙，不但無法控制咖啡豆色階，而且容易破壞咖啡組織，增加咖啡因成份，並有炭燒味。
電熱浮風咖啡機特點在於以電為耗能，屬低溫烘焙，避免超過兩百卅度，破壞咖啡組織，色相可完全控制，沒有炭燒味，最重要的是，咖啡因成份減少一半以上。
